Features

Everything you need, nothing you didn't ask for

No feed, no followers, no notifications begging for attention. Just a link and the messages it brings you.

Your link with QR code
Your link

One code is your whole identity

Anonium assigns you a random six-character code the moment you open the app. That code is your link. It is not derived from your device, your name or anything about you — it is simply a number we picked.

  • Post it anywhere. A story, a bio, a group chat, a poster on a wall.
  • Scannable QR. Handy when your link is on a screen and the reader is on a phone.
  • Burn it whenever. Renew the link and every old copy stops working instantly.
A conversation in Anonium
Conversations

Real chats, sealed end to end

Replies arrive as ordinary threads with delivery and read receipts, replies and drafts. Each conversation gets its own key, created on your device and sealed to the other person before anything leaves your phone.

  • Swipe to reply and jump back to any quoted message.
  • Sent, delivered, seen — you always know where a message stands.
  • Works offline. Messages queue up and send themselves when you reconnect.
Conversation details and controls
You stay in control

Block, rename, or walk away

Every conversation carries its own controls. Give people a private nickname only you can see, shuffle their avatar, or end it permanently — no explanation and no way back in.

  • Block instantly and they can never reach you in that chat again.
  • Private nicknames stored only on your device.
  • Text only — nobody can send you an image you did not want to see.
Themes and accent colours
Make it yours

Light, dark, pitch black — and colours

Follow your system or pick a side. Supporters unlock a true-black theme built for OLED screens and a set of accent colours that recolour the entire app, from the chat bubbles to the send button.

  • Pitch black for OLED panels and late nights.
  • Seven accents applied consistently across every screen.
  • Fingerprint lock so a borrowed phone reveals nothing.
The difference

Most “anonymous” apps know exactly who you are

Anonymity is not a setting. It is a consequence of what a company chose never to collect. Almost every anonymous-messaging app collects a great deal.

What they collect

Typical for apps in this category.

  • Google or Facebook sign-inYour legal name, photo and email, on day one.
  • Email and phone numberPermanent identifiers tied to your real identity.
  • Advertising IDFollows you across every other app on the device.
  • Device fingerprintModel, OS, locale and screen — near-unique together.
  • Location and sensorsWhere you sleep, work and travel.
  • Contacts and photosYour entire social graph, plus your camera roll.
  • Analytics and ad networksThird parties you never agreed to, receiving all of it.
  • Your messages, on their serversReadable, searchable and available on request.

When a service like that is breached, this is what ends up in the dump. “Anonymous” messages get matched back to real people because the account behind them was never anonymous to begin with.

What Anonium holds

The complete list. There is no second page.

  • A random code we hand youSix characters we generate and assign. It is not taken from you or your device, and it is not derived from anything about you.
  • A delivery address for notificationsThe pointer your phone gives us so a message can arrive. It carries no personal information and dies with the app.
and nothing else
  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Social login
  • Advertising ID
  • Location
  • Contacts
  • Camera or mic
  • Storage access
  • Analytics SDK
  • Ad network
  • Message history

We cannot tell you who messaged you, because we do not know. We cannot hand over your conversations, because we never held them. A breach of our servers would expose a list of random codes.

No identity to begin with

There is no account to create, so there is nothing to protect, sell or leak. Your presence is a disposable code you can destroy whenever you like.

A blind mediator

Our servers know a message moved. Not who sent it, not who read it, not what it said. We pass sealed envelopes and keep no copy.

Your phone is the archive

Conversations are encrypted and stored on your device only. Delete the app and the record is genuinely gone — there is no cloud copy to request.

Text only, on purpose

No photos, voice notes or video — ever. Media is the fastest route from anonymous honesty to harassment. Words keep it honest.

Staying safe

The trick worth knowing about

Anonium protects who you are. It cannot protect you from telling someone yourself — so here is the one trap people fall into, and how we help you avoid it.

1

Someone sends a link to you alone

A direct message, or a story set to be visible to a single person. It looks like an ordinary public link.

2

Only you can open it

Because nobody else ever received it, the sender knows in advance that any reply can only have come from you.

3

You reply, believing you are anonymous

The app kept your identity hidden perfectly. The sharing method gave it away before you typed a word.

What Anonium does about it

When you open a link, Anonium runs an anonymity check before the conversation becomes active. If something looks off, the chat is held briefly and unlocks on its own once it clears. You do not have to do anything, and we do not explain the signals we use — that would only help the people working around them.

  • Prefer links you found somewhere public over links sent straight to you.
  • If a link arrived in a private message, assume the sender will know it was you.
  • Waiting a while before replying makes timing a much weaker clue.
  • Avoid details only one person could know. That is how anonymity really breaks.
Use cases

What people actually use it for

Anonymity is not about hiding. It is about removing the cost of being honest.

Love confessions

Say the thing you have carried for a year, without it changing everything if the answer is no.

Constructive criticism

Tell a friend the truth about their work or their habits — the version they need, not the polite one.

Honest work feedback

Managers drop a link and finally get answers that are not shaped by who signs the paycheque.

Ask me anything

Creators put the link in a bio and let an audience ask what they would never ask under their own name.

Appreciation and apology

Gratitude, an overdue sorry, a compliment you would blush to give — easier without a name attached.

Communities and classrooms

Collect questions and concerns from a group where speaking up publicly carries a social cost.

Inside the app

Built quiet, on purpose

Flat, fast, and free of anything blinking for your attention.

Free and Premium

Kept alive by the people who use it

There are no ads and nothing about you to sell, so supporters are what pay for the servers. Sending and receiving is never paywalled.

Free

Everything you need to be heard.

  • Unlimited conversationsTalk to as many people as your link reaches.
  • Full end-to-end encryptionNever a paid feature. Everyone gets the same protection.
  • Blocking and link renewalEvery safety control, available to everyone.

  • Light and dark themesFollow your system or choose a side.

FAQ

Short answers, no jargon

Do you know who I am?

No. There are no accounts, names, emails or phone numbers. Your identity here is a random code we assign, and you can throw it away whenever you want.

Will I find out who messaged me?

No, and neither will we. Anyone who has your link knows they are writing to you — you shared it, after all. What Anonium guarantees is the other direction: their identity never reaches you.

Can you read my messages?

No. Messages are end-to-end encrypted between your device and theirs. What passes through us is a sealed envelope we cannot open and do not keep.

What do you store about me?

Your random code and a delivery address for notifications. No messages, no history, no contact lists. Your chats live only on your phone.

Someone is bothering me. What do I do?

Open the chat, tap the name at the top and block — they cannot reach you there again. If your link has spread somewhere you regret, renew it and every old copy stops working.

Why can't I send photos or voice notes?

By design, and it is permanent. Media is the fastest way anonymous spaces turn into harassment and blackmail. Anonium stays text-only so it stays what it is meant to be.

Why is my new chat paused?

New chats are briefly held while an anonymity check runs. It protects both sides, it unlocks on its own, and there is nothing you need to do.

What happens when I renew my link?

You get a brand-new link and the old one stops working everywhere. This is a clean break: your existing chats end too, because they were tied to the old link. Renew when you want to disappear and start fresh. Once every six hours.

What happens if I delete my identity?

Everything goes. Your link is destroyed on our side and your chats are erased from the device. There is no recovery — that is the point.

How is Anonium paid for?

By the people who use it. Premium subscriptions keep the servers running and keep Anonium free of trackers, data collection and outside influence.

Will I see ads?

No ad networks, no trackers and no banners following you around — ever. You may occasionally see a single supporter's message inside the app, at most once a day, and you can dismiss it instantly. Nothing about you is shared to show it.

What languages does it support?

Anonium ships in English today, with more languages planned. Messages themselves are never translated, scanned or processed — we cannot read them.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Anonium is on Android today and an iOS build is planned. There is no waiting list to join, because that would mean collecting your email.

About

A blind mediator, nothing more

We know a message moved. Not who sent it, not who read it, not what it said. Nothing to collect, nothing to sell, nothing to hand over.

Anonium started from a simple frustration: every app that promised anonymity still began by asking who you were. An email, a phone number, a social login — and from that moment the anonymity was a courtesy the company extended, not a property of the system.

So we built the other thing. No identity is requested, which means none can be leaked, sold, demanded or reconstructed later. The trade-off is real: we cannot recover your account, restore your history or tell you who sent something. We think that is the correct trade-off, and we are not planning to soften it.

Anonium is a project of Modullium, made by a small team somewhere on planet Earth, and funded entirely by the people who subscribe to Premium.
